On Saturday, September 24th, the white beaches of Biloxi will welcome culinary connoisseurs from across the country in Southern Gaming Magazine’s Casino Cook-off presented by Four Roses Bourbon. The event will showcase the talents of top casino chefs in a “Live Cooking Competition” that will take place as the marquee event of the 28th Annual Chefs of the Coast Culinary Weekend, the premier culinary event of the Gulf Coast.
Southern Gaming is excited to announce the top four chefs who will be competing in this live event: Chef Chris Poplin from IP Casino Resort & Spa, Chef Abel Vergara from Seminole Casino at Coconut Creek, Chef Glen Chapman of Casino Aztar, and Chef Gunter Kilan from DiamondJacks Casino Resort. These chefs come from Evansville, Indiana to Coconut Creek, Florida and we are very proud to have them as part of our first live Cook-off competition.

Southern Gaming Magazine's Casino Cook-off presented by Four Roses Bourbon
Time: 5:30 pm – 10:00pm Location: Gulf Coast Convention Center
Event Description: Enjoy an evening of live music, cocktails, food stations and premium bourbon and wine tastings while top casino chefs compete in a live chef showdown for top honors of the Casino Chef of South. The chefs will perform on signature Viking competition platforms provided by Great Kitchens of Gulfport while being closely critiqued by the audience as well as a panel of judges.
Cost: $75 per person ($140 for 2-ticket package) (Ticket includes food stations, Four Roses bourbon samples, wine tastings, two premium cocktail tickets at event and access to the official after party.)

Dash & Dine – 3K Run
Time: 5-8 pm Location: Downtown Gulfport (route tba)
Description: Don't miss the kick off to the Gulf Coast Culinary Weekend with an evening enjoying live music, entertainment, food and craft beer tasting, after a fun 3K run.
Cost: $30 Runner Registration includes after run food and craft beer

Chefs of the Coast Stockpot Cook-off
Time: 11 am – 3 pm Location: MS Coast Convention Center
Description: Chefs of the Coast Stockpot Cook-off is a family friendly event where you can taste samples of stockpot recipes with what the Mississippi Gulf Coast is known for…fresh Gulf Shrimp!
Cost: $15; Children 12 and under are FREE!

Chefs of the Coast Venetian Gala
Time: 5:30 -10:30 pm Location: MS Coast Convention Center
Description: "Chefs of the Coast" Gala is the event of the year. This time-honored tradition will once again be held at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center. The Coast's hottest local restaurants will provide tasting portions of their favorite dish while wineries dispense samplings of perfect pairings amid entertainment.
Cost: $75 / $80 at the door
