A product of New Orleans’s richly complex musical culture, Aaron Neville is often compared to Sam Cooke in terms of his high pitched, dramatic singing style that is uniquely his own.
Of mixed African American and Native American heritage, his music features the Cajun influence with a down south Orleans’s flair.

Neville broke onto the national scene with “Tell It Like It Is” which topped Billboard’s R&B charts for five consecutive weeks in 1967. It also reached #2 on the Hot 100. This song is still considered a classic in the archives of American music.  In the 1970s, Neville join his brothers and together they began their string of successful albums with hits such as “Yellow Moon,” and “Don’t Know Much.”  In 1991, he found a new leaf with his solo career and recorded the acclaimed album, Warm Your Heart.

Aaron has recorded a dozen solo albums ranging in genre from gospel to country and is noted for his unusual vibrato singing style in which he was inspired by Gene Autry’s yodeling. His #1 hits include: “All My Life,” “Don’t Take Away My Heaven”and“Everybody Plays the Fool.”

Neville has proved his success with four Grammy Awards: 1989 Best Pop Duo with Linda Ronstadt for “Don’t Know Much,” 1989 Best Pop Instrumental Performance with the Neville Brothers, 1990 Best Pop Duo with Linda Ronstadt for “All My Life,” and Best Country Collaboration with Trisha Yearwood. He was also named “Best Male Singer” two consecutive years in the Rolling Stone critic’s poll. His musical progression also include successful work in television, movies and sporting events from singing “The Star Spangled Banner” alongside singer Aretha Franklin and Dr. John at SuperBowl XL in Detroit and his guest appearance on an episode of Young & The Restless singing “Stand By Me,” and “Ain’t No Sunshine” from the album, Bring It on Home.

You don’t want to miss a night filled with soulful R& B melodies and Cajun style tunes paired with warm Christmas cheer!
